The Rural Investment Support for Europe (RISE) is currently recruiting a
 
PROJECTS AND COMMUNICATIONS INTERN
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Job Description:
 
The Intern will be assisting the Executive Team of RISE. He/She will be highly involved in researching, drafting, organization of high-level conferences and pursuing fundraising opportunities for the RISE Foundation as well as carrying out administrative duties. www.risefoundation.eu
 
Responsibilities :
 
  • Assisting with coordination of policy and pilot projects
  • Conduct policy analysis and research in the European agricultural, environmental, and energy field.
  • Administrative duties (organization of conferences and meetings, updating website, maintaining contacts with Board, European institutions and networks)
  • Assist the Managing Director in the Fundraising Campaign

He/she will help establish contact with EU institution officials and project partners; and helps oversee the production and dissemination/marketing of policy papers.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience required :

Work experience and proven interest in EU affairs with regard to current agriculture/environment policy; university degree in either an agronomic field with work experience of European Affairs, OR a university degree in politics, international relations, law or economics, (with knowledge of agriculture, rural development and environment); strong organizational and administrative skills; maturity, excellent interpersonal skills and diplomacy; computer literacy (particularly Word, internet and intranet systems).

Languages :

Fluent English (both written and spoken); French and other European languages an advantage

Other:

Candidate must be very well organised, have an eye for detail, be able to keep to deadlines, be computer literate and work well in a small, dynamic team. Candidate must be able to work well with many partner organizations and individuals.

Start date:

ASAP, January 2012.

The intern will be paid a stipend of 400 euros/month.
