Policy Analysis

Think Tank activities have focused on three issues: (1) world food and environmental security, (2) renewable energies, and (3) public goods from private land.
Its main policy paper on ‘Public Goods from Private Land’, led by Professor Allan Buckwell, has been launched in 2009. The study focused on the nature and scale of public goods and services provided by land managers and on the consequences of future CAP reforms for the agricultural entrepreneurial scene.
It also analysed the available evidence on the range of environmental and man-made landscape services that land managers provide. Link to the executive summary and the report.RISE has also been involved in the organisation and leading of several conferences:

• The annual Forums on the Future of Agriculture taking place in Brussels.
